Short: Text about xpk_Crypt.lha archive Author: stoecker@rcs.urz.tu-dresden.de (Dirk Stoecker) Uploader: stoecker@rcs.urz.tu-dresden.de (Dirk Stoecker) Type: util/pack The xpk_Crypt.lha archive cannot be found on world wide Aminet servers, because of the American cryptography laws. So you have to get it from German servers. The most important one is ftp.uni-paderborn.de. There it is in /pub/aminet/util/crypt. You can get it also on my WWW page http://rcs.urz.tu-dresden.de/~stoecker/xpkmaster.html or direct with http://rcs.urz.tu-dresden.de/~stoecker/xpk_Crypt.lha http://rcs.urz.tu-dresden.de/~stoecker/xpk_Crypt.readme but I do not know how long this page will exist. Description XPK is an interfacing standard between application programs and packer libraries. All XPK application programs can apply any of the various XPK compressors or encryptors to their data. Distributability XPK is copyrighted, but freely distributable for non-commercial use. Some parts of XPK have a different legal status, ie. PD, GPL or shareware. This part of the xpk distribution consists of all the cryptographic libraries. It may be illegal to export these libraries from the USA, therefore they are in a seperate archive, which should not be made internationally available from the USA. We do not yet know of any restrictions to the import or export of this archive from other countries.
